The home that Del E. Brady built in early 1960's.

This is the 2nd home we lived in at Union. The first home was a converted barracks made into a home that sat just north of this home about fifty or so feet. After Dad built this home, we moved the old home to south of this home, and it was modified for Uncle Walt & his wife and some of his children.

My Grandfather & Grandmother Hall

Here is one of the last photo that I remember what Grandpa Hall looked like before his death in Jan 1953. He built the home that is behind them. He was a hard worker, and a soft spoken man, they made a wonderful couple and had a great family.

Most of his children lived on either side of us (Del E. Brady family) while we were young. Walt lived to our south, then Hyrum H. old home was there for awhile before being knock down. South of G. Uncle Walt, was his sister G. Aunt Elva Ruby Brady (Wheeler), west of her home was her daughter's home Collen Wheeler Reese. South of Aunt Evla was her older sister Alice Brady (Gould). North of my father's home was Grandfather Raynold H. Brady, north of him was Dean Brady, then Donna Brady (Glenn) son & daughter of Clarence James Brady, north Uncle Jimmy as we called him was Gearld William Brady, (Lawerence Bascom's bought a lot between Uncle Jimmy & Uncle Gerald and built a home). North of Uncle Gerald was Hyrum Andrew & Aunt Hattie's home, then last home was G. Uncle Lawarence Henry Brady's home. Most of the children from these families were moved and gone, but several were young enough that we played with. Uncle Walt's family was our age (Don, Del & Larry), a few of them older but we knew them, plus Uncle Gerald's youngest daughter we knew her, and all of Uncle Lawerence children we knew. All of these Great Uncle's had a couple of acres of ground behind their homes stretching down to (some past) Little Cottonwood Creek. All of these relatives lived on the west side of 1300 East from the canal on the south to the now (Ft. Union Blvd) on the north or north side of G.Uncle Lawerence's farm. Most raised fruit, and all had huge gardens. They were the good old days. That is probably why I enjoy working on a farm, or with the soil etc.
